From Dražice nad Jizerou to European Market Leadership
Founded in 1900 as a cooperative enterprise in Dražice nad Jizerou and operating hydroelectric power plants along the Jizera River between 1910 and 1939, the company began manufacturing water heaters in 1956. After launching series production of combined water heaters in 1972, it became Družstevní závody Dražice – strojírna s.r.o. following 1989 and rapidly modernized its manufacturing facilities.
With advanced enameling furnaces commissioned in 1997 and 2005 and its acquisition by the Swedish heating technology leader NIBE Industrier AB in 2006, annual production capacity expanded beyond 150,000 units.

The DZ Dražice production program covers vertical, horizontal, wall-mounted, and floor-standing water heaters — including electric, combined, and indirect stationary storage tanks ranging in volume from 5 to 1000 liters, as well as specialized tanks for gas boilers, heat pumps, and solar thermal collectors.

Constructing both the tank vessel and flange cover from the same steel grade prevents galvanic corrosion.
