A.O.Smith DRE

The DRE is a three-phase electric water heater designed mainly for commercial use. It has three to nine Incoloy heating elements and is available as DRE 52 and DRE 80.

The A.O.Smith DRE is a three-phase (400 V, 50 Hz) electric water heater built primarily for commercial applications. Depending on the model it contains three to nine Incoloy heating elements. Each element is controlled by its own control thermostat (adjustable from 49 to 82°C) and protected by a manually resettable high-limit thermostat. Cascade control of the elements gives more efficient operation and faster heating-up times, and all elements and thermostats are fuse-protected. The steel tank is lined with second-generation PermaGlas Ultra Coat glass, which helps to prevent corrosion. A replaceable magnesium anode and a safety float switch are included. Optional ancillaries are unvented kits, a destratification pump kit and powered anodes. The maximum working pressure is 8 bar.
